Subject: Bandwith with an isobarik configuration |
Hello
I 'm thinking about an isobarik configuration to extend the bass response of a little fullrange loudspeaker ( Fostex FE103 or FE 127 , not yet decided) . In my mind , the crossover ( 1st order ) should be around 300/400 hz , to avoid the resonance of the drivers and to extend power handling of the fullrange . But i'm not sure that an isobarik config. can go up to 300/400 hz . Has anyone experiment isobarik configuration for other than subwoofer goal ? Thanks for response JPM PS : the woofers are Focal 8v416J ( i've got them in my stock since a couple of years) and they will be mounted one behind the other ( face to rear ) , with a little chamber between them .
