Subject: Looking for home theatre sub amp/ box design

I am building a subwoofer cabinet for my home theatre system. I am looking for an internal or external amp. I have found a few via the internet, but not many. Do you have any suggestions on where I could locate a 250-300 watt sub amp? I think I am going to build a dual chambered box where a series of ports link the subwoofer chamber to a 1-2 cu-ft chamber, then a series of ports would exit the box. Any ideas? Thanks for your help
