The equation for a customized Qtc:
Vb = Vas / ((Qtc/Qts)2 - 1)

Vas = Vb = liters
OR
Vas = Vb = cubic feet

Keep units the same

On Steele's site the ^ is known as a carrot. It takes the number to the nth power. Below is a better description on ^.
