Sound Storm is like a cheap Lighting Audio rip off I'm sure....

And if you are running highs via no amp, Sony Xplod's are actually the lesser of all evils. Most big brand highs really want the clarity provided by an amp... the Sony stuff for some reason almost always sounds the same... Alpine makes real crisp highs.

Ultimately though, a small 4 channel amp would be ideal... before real highs were even considered.
