Since you're an intelligent man, I would think you all ready checked out some of the common DIY brands... and beings you all ready own a Tempest, the Shiva has been viewed once or twice.

The Infinity Kappa perfect 12" might fit this situation nicely, though I am unfamiliar with its tendency to unload.

I can't even suggest Vega in this situation as I do know they bottom, though in the lower power setup you have the Vega 12d4 could be great. It's efficiency in ported enclosures is well above what you all ready stated you'd like...

Before you went with the w3... since this is an SQ setup... I would suggest the 12w6... the w3 has more SPL potential, but I've owned a couple w6's and they are gooder than a muther....

Maybe a Volfenhag eh??
