In the world of consumer electronics, at least its mainstream base, there is only one question.... how much power does it take.
The average consumer neither gives a hoot nor a hollar at what the people on this forum make their hobby. They just want to know if it handles a lot of power, can make bass and how many ohms does it have...(which is a real question in any audio shop)
Speaking strictly in the sense that he wanted 2 HED 10's or maybe the 12's and wanted to know the difference... well... it's a power thing. Sure I could say it was displacement or the linear sweep of a 12 is such and such a fraction of 2 tens and the whole nine yards....or whatever....
The simple fact remains, that when a situation like the above arrises... personal preference. That person knows the vehicle, the considerations and what they want.
