Hi

I think normally the name of the 3rd order sealed box game is to design for a qtc of 1.2 or a bit higher then pick appropriate sized cap to flatten the passband

you'll probably have to read up on this stuff and ideally do some impedance measuremnets

one idea to simulate is to go to Bullock and White's free DOS software site (see link), download the bandpass model - then you would put in parmaters of your driver, and rear box size - since its a bandpass model, you can effectively eliminate the front chamber by picking 9999 liters front chamber volume and 9999Hz front chamber tuning - then to go passive eq input and try whatever size cap you want to compare simulation to the same driver without the cap - these BOXMODEL progams allow 4-systems to be evaluated at once - be careful of system A data as it seems to share stuff sometimes so double check by running one sim at a time - its a way to see 3rd order effects for free.

Freddy
