Ok I am Following this formula and I am stuck.
Step one: Ffb=Fs x sqroot of Vas
that will give you Ffb (a number for bass response in a reference box)
Step two: F3=.8Ffb / sqroot of Vb
Where F3 is the desired cutoff frequency in hz (should be~40-50 hz) or at least higher than the Fs of the sub... Where Vb is your box size.....
You may calculate in liters or cubic feet, to get cubic feet from liters divide by 28.3........
A lower F3 will go lower, but a higher F3 will be louder, so aim for about 40-50 hz
So here is what i got so far My VAS is in liters so i am converting it 110 liters = 3.8869257950530035335689045936396 Now That Number Squared is 1.9715287964047097665128687774258 So now I multiply that by my fs which is 29 that gives me 57.174335095736583228873194545349
Ok that is the end of step one BUT I am Stuck on step 2 I do not understand what .8ffb is nore how to get the square root of the box. Can Somone PLEASE help me
