Kappa perfects are nice... don't get me wrong, but they are just as pricey. Being a bit biased, the Vegas are my favorite of any of the brands that were mentioned.

The scoop on them:

The HED series is lower power sub designed for small sealed enclosures. They have a decent xmax and sound pretty good from the couple that i have heard.

The Vega series. This is where you can get into some trouble. The vega series is designed exclusively for ported use. The 12" version uses about 2 cubic feet of air space. If space is a concern, the 8" version of this sub dips lower than a lot of 12" subs I've heard.

Stroker series doesn't seem to be what you are looking for so I won't even mention it....That's just the scoop on the vegas, but listen to the others guys as they know more than me....
