Funny, this was just posted on madisound board:
= Ive built a dual 10" sub. Each sub has = dual 6ohm coils. So, of course, the question = is; do I series the coils and parallel the = drivers, or parallel the coils and series = the drivers? Im leaning toward series coils. = I figure if I ever want to drive them = seperatly, in stererereo, 3 ohms might be = pushing it. What do you think? Does it = matter? Tnx!
I'd go for Series VC and parrallel the drivers. This will ensure that there is no interaction beteen the back EMF of the drivers. With Parrallel connection as I suggest the back EMF of each drivers is damped directly by the amplifer.
best regards, Johnny
