Hi Thomas
thanks for link - bit confused - are these ABX samples meant to provide a training/comparitive basis for perception of THD?
can I find my magic HD analyzer at modest prices? - would think a digital filter could set a deep notch most anywhere in bass - midrange -then software would look at a loudspeaker's sine output at that F spitting out numbers - how about a spectrum analyzer
can hear distortion on clean sine generated by test CD but in room gets funny due to standing waves.etc - really like to quantify some of this stuff - at least to a degree - want to examine my Karlson boxes to see if the rear shelf to back panel gap really forms any useful lowpass filter before the port's exit into the slotted front cavity - in my mod Karlson box deleted the rear shelf in favor of two 4"IDx6" ducts - seems to give more output @32hz - front protrusion of shelf seems to act as deflector for HF from woofer - I like Karlson boxes as subjective bass punch is very strong
to be useful - I need to check stuff at input power say 5-100 watts sine
Freddy
