Yes, you can build a subwoofer that has two speaker drivers in the same box. Though double the Vas that is give with one driver. WinISD does this in the background. You can pick from parallel (recommended if possible) or series (optional). Parallel is using two or more speaker drivers. Connecting the positive of both speaker driver's voice coil to the amplifier. Then connecting both the negative end of the speaker driver's voice coil.
Parallel is like house wiring. Connnecting wire A to wire A. Then connecting wire B to wire B.
Paralleling speaker drivers the impedance decreases and the current handling of the amplifier increases. The consequence on using parallel hook up is that the amplifier will heat up or over heat.
Equation to calculate impedance when speaker drivers or resistors are connected in parralel: Rnew = 1/(1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/Rn)
R1 = first driver or resistor (ohms) R2 = second driver or resistors (ohms) Rn = infinite drivers or resistors in circuit (ohms) Rnew = new impedance in ohms
