Do you plan on adding more power, or can the subs be wired so the amp will provide more power to the 4 subs?

In theory, (4) 12" would be more cone area than (1) 18", but then you would need enough power to drive each of the (4) 12" to the same excursion you are driving the single 18". (4) 12" I would guess will also require more box space. . .

Why not just add another 18"'er????
