Not too bad, but 700 lumens output is not bright at all. Room will have to be pretty dark to have any kind of good picture. It also only has 200:1 contrast. If you could get the Infocus LP-435x for around $1000, I would get it. . .1000 lumens output, 400:1 contrast, and XGA. With a HTPC, you will see a difference between SVGA and XGA, unless you are only planning on an 84" picture or smaller. One advantage to the NEC, is it has a 2000 hour bulb vs. 1000 for the Infocus 435z. At $300 per bulb, could be something you need to keep in mind. . .
Have you seen www.projectorcentral.com? Great website full of info, and it has specs for almost every projector made!!! Check it out!!
