Subject: Re: Using Different Ports for Tempest

An alternative to using adire audio ports is simply PVC pipe, available at any hardware store. If you were going to use a single port for your 194L Tempest subwoofer, I would reccomend using the largest diameter possible, so if you could fit a 4" diameter port by 17.6" long, that would be great. However if this will not fit in your enclosure, you could always use a 3.5" by 13.2" port and flare to slow down air speed and reduce port noise. Have you considered a passive radiator design? Two Adire PR-15 passive radiators would also work very well (and look VERY cool!) but do add a fair bit of cost to the system.
