The shiva has dual 8 ohm coils. The amp should have a + and - wire for output. Using 2 pieces of speaker wire, wire both +'s on the sub to the + on the amp, and wire both -'s on the sub to the - on the amp. You could also do this by running the + from the amp to one of the voice coil +'s, then run the - from the amp to the - on the same voice coil. Then use a piece of speaker wire to jumper the 2 +'s and the 2 -'s on the subs 2 voice coils. This is called wiring the voice coils in parallel and will give the amp a 4 ohm load where it will make maximum power.
