Hmm.. that's impressive Brian. I don't know, they very well may. I've noticed that there are different grades of foam, and Cerwin Vega red tends to be a little on the light side. My friend has a pair of 12's from the 70's - I have to admit, with a fresh pair of foams on them, they are extremely responsive, and their excursion is piston like and effortless. But you are right, they seem to die quickly.
