If your amp is 2 channel 4 ohm, and your subs are dual 4 ohm coil, you cant use both coils of your two DVC woofers (you could always short one coil though).

Yes, a capacitor is reccomended to keep a steady current to your head unit, etc, and also so the rest of your car is not affected when playing at high volumes. Read the other posts on this forum regarding capacitors if you dont already know how to use them.
