I am not sure about that. If you hook upp two amps on a DVC out of phase (180º)with the maximum power rated I suspect you will let out some white smoke after a while. Why do I think that? : The voice coil is relying on movement for cooling.
out of phase = no movement = no cooling = smoke

Of course I dont know this for sure but it would be great fun to test it :))
