Subject: sonotube porting scheme |

What is the best orientation for the ports in a sonotube? Ported on the same plate as the woofer or the opposite one? Is there a big advantage to facing the woofer to the floor versus up into the air? How close can ports be to each other, the backside of the woofer, and enclosure walls? Is there an advantage to using fewer larger ports as opposed to several smaller ports which can be shorter and are easier to package(2-3" vs. 4-2")?
