Subject: Mounting a plate amp on a sonotube sub... |
I have just about dedided to go the sonotube route, but I have a question...what should I do about mounting the plate amp?
I know they are desighen to be mounted vertically and use convection to cool. Would mounting the amp on either the top or bottom plate of the sub cause a big problem? I know that means no convective cooling, relying instead mainly on radiant cooling, which is a fair bit less efficient. Am I going to have to go with a calss D amp to get around this issue?
