I was just poking around the Adire Audio site, and noticed the layouts for sealed, vented, and passive radiator enclosures. Looking at the response curves and seeing that a good ported enclosure can be built @85 liters, I am starting to consider a passive radiator box. Anyone built one of these? Will I be able to get tight, clean bass out of a PR box? Would I need to marginally increase the dimensions to allow for the internal volume taken up by a plate amp? If my volume is a bit off(I'm new to woodworking), is it possible to tune the response by just adjusting the mass on the radiator?
...or should I just buy their built unit and forget about building my own?
