I called Rockford Fosgate... got some specs from them regarding a sub I have in my house laying around. The guy on the phone was able to give me an idea, for a 6th order BP, but it was tuned to about 52hz... which just wouldn't impress the hardcore fanatics here on the site, b/c it would just be another 6th order BP with a port and a PR. However, we kept talking and I suggested tuning to around 28 to 30 hz, and at that point the drop-offs appeared nicer on paper and I got my necessary volumes...
My question is, with a 15" PR, how much mass would it need to occupy and move as much air as a sqare port measuring 3" x 3" x 10" long?? Is there anyway to have a PR tune like that port?? I don't know much about PR's but I'd love to try this. Thanks in advance for the help.
