You could make the box H=13.5" W=13.5" D=8" and stuff the box. This would give you the correct volume of approx 20 litres. Those box specs are in inches. Sorry I took so long to get them to you gan. You can change these figures a bit to like 13.5"x13"x9" etc. Whatever suites your tastes without going to much away from the dimensions givin. You can calculate internal box volume by using this calculation: Y*Y*Y where y=size of box in inches. Then /1728 and *28. So the formula is: ((Y*Y*Y)/1728)*28) Work in inches.
This is the INTERNAL box volume, so when cutting, remember to add the thickness of the wood to get the correct figure. Hope this helps !!!
