Subject: Overkill?

Hey everyone, regarding my previous post I'm wondering if the subwooder i plan build is an overkill for my needs? I plan to connect the subwoofer only to my receiver which is connected to my computer, so basicly its just a computer sub. All I do is listen to music and play an occasional game. I have pretty small room (9 x 10), I'm wondering if if better to build a smaller sub like a 8-10" with 80-150w. I would greatly appreciate your input.
