Speakers for sound reinforcement (ie PA, or keyboard) are indeed special. They are tougher. They have to be because the sudden large amounts of sound (called transients) are are huge with live music compared to recorded music. Many manufacturers make musical instrument speakers - just look in any music store.
Another important difference for "live" sound is that the rooms are often bigger, and the volume louder than normal home situations. This means enormous amounts of power need to be delivered. To make matters worse, Bass uses more power by far than other frequency ranges. Anyway, yes, there's a difference.
