I know this already. I'm a computer geek.
My subwoofer is about 2 feet away but my computer is sheilded by its metal shell or the case. My case is a tank. It can hold a monitor with out warping.
I have Radio Shack's discontinued dual voice coil 6.5 inch woofers. It has a vented pole and a 20 ounce magnet. I used it in my 2nd sound system with a dipole tweeter. It response very fast because of the low Qts. It is still the best woofer in my sound system.
