well if you are looking for bass, heres a few options. but first you need to know at least the qubic feet of the speaker box after that then the speakers you can use are narrowed down. if you have a ported box try to stay as close to the origanal speaker specs as possable. if you have a sealed box, you can look at matching with just the qubic measurment. with a sealed you have a =/- 20%leway. here are some secrets about loudness and bass. An SPL(sound pressuure level) is better when higher. the result is more travel sound from the speaker with less power needed to be drawn from the amp. so get a replacement with an spl of 90+. 2)ohms are resistance or power draw required to run the speaker at line level or 1000hz. an amp of an rms of 100watts per channel in 8 ohm speaker is working 1/2 as effecient as the same amp running same speaker but in a 4 ohm laod. this means if your amp is pushing 1/2 the resistance then it is now workink 2x as powerful 200rms per channel. 3)inductors. if you only want to here the low end range of the Hz or bass then put a coil in the box to.....
if you would be interested in chatting more about this, i would feel free to at d_e_elliott@hotmail.com
