When using the rear channel pre-outs to drive the subwoofer, you would need a "Y" connector to combine the right & left into 1 for your mono sub amp. You would also need 2 more "Y" connectors to split the front pre-outs to supply the 4 channels of your main amp. Which amp are you using? An Alpine model MRV-F407 has inputs for front & rear, L & R and gives an output channel for a subwoofer amp. Or you could use an electronic crossover with inputs- LF/RF/LR/RR and outputs to amp LF/RF/LR/RR/Subwoofer. Although I think Alpine no longer makes one of these.
