I went to see my Alpine Vendor about upgrading to a head with a sub pre-out. Roughly $700 untop of the $600 I already spent. His suggestion was to use a Y adapter to split the front signal, and to use the rear pre-out for the sub. He called this a "no-fade" configuration, because I will lose the ability to fade front to rear. However, he said this is the most common solution and signal quality will not suffer.
