I found your post extremely helpful, exatcly what I was looking for. One last question too. There is a local company here (transparence) that manufactures a p.a. sub they claim can handle 1000 watts rms, 2000 peak, what do you think? unless you strongly recommend these 1000 watters or Rcf is can find them cheap, I will probably just find some of those JBL's.
What's your oppinion on ohms too?
Will I get more spl out of a 4 ohm speaker (the reason I ask is because after calling around used shops today, I found both 4 ohm RCF's and 8 ohm RCF's and am still a little confused as to which is nicer for my application. thanks again! dj
