3" is pretty small for that driver. I would suggest that you use at least 2 three inch ports or maybe two four inch ports.
If you have a PC, download Bullock's Boxmodel program. It will plot port velocity for you. You want to keep it under 17 m/s or 5% of the speed of sound (Mach) for best results.
