Should the subwoofer driver be braced so that it is secured completely? I'm looking over some enclosure plans that the driver mfg (CSS) has on their web site and they have the magnet braced. One brace is mounted parallel to the face of the driver with a hole the same diameter as the magnet and the magnet fitting tightly inside the hole. And a 2nd notched brace at right angle where the magnet fits tightly into that notch and the brace extends to the back of the enclosure. Any potential problems with this method?

how does one secure the magnet and/or it's backplate to the bracing?
Simply resting a piece of compressible timberwork against the back achieves almost nothing.

I believe the idea is to prevent deformation of the cone that could be caused (over time) by the unsupported weight of the magnet. My (possibly ill-founded) concern is whether or not the bracing could result in audible noise because of vibration transmission to the rear of the enclosure.
