Looking for a bit of advice on the correct claculation of slot ports where a box wall is used as a port wall also. In the past I have subtracted half port height to account for the long side, see bottom of this page if you don't get what I mean: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=165 I was wondering how accurate this is? is there a better way to calculate this effect?
I am considering a box with another 3sided chamber on the end the both port and driver fire into, in this case BOTH ends of the port would have an extended wall. Dose this mean subtracting 1xport height form the lenght instead of just half?

Sounds like you're on the right track with your calculations. I wouldn't worry too much if you're building a long vent - small changes in its length are going to result in small changes in Fb, which are likely not going to be noticeable, especially in a car audio environment.
