I AM IN A BAND AND WOULD LIKE TO UPGRADE OUR SUBS. I HAVE 4 18" PEAVEY BLACK WIDOW SPEAKERS AND WOULD LIKE TO BUILD DUAL 18" CABS. BUT HAVING PROBLEMS FIGURING OUT WHAT DESIGN I SHOULD USE AND WHAT DIMENSIONS I WILL NEED. WE USUALLY PLAY SMALL TO MEDIUM ROOM WITH AROUND 200 PEOPLE WANT TO SHAKE THE TABLES. |

Hi, do your dual 18inchers but build the cabinet as two separate boxes with a physical partition between the two halves. They will be heavy and big, so make them robust and castor (fixed not rotating) the back corners for easy trolleying. |

The black widows were intended to be used as a bass guitar cabinet.... when I was quite a bit younger, my stepfather had a Black widow 18 accompanied by 2 CV 10's for a bass guitar setup and it used to shake the old wood framed windows almost to the point of breaking. They are decent for what they are intended.... |
