You might find a friendlier reception there. You might want to ask more specific questions, though... If your questions are too open-ended you will either get nothing, a smart-ass response, or a post full of ignorant opinions...

These guys apparently thought you were bragging, when you were perhaps just indicating the level of discussion you could tolerate? Norman asked some of the right questions, though...

Read through the rest of the site here at diysubwoofers, though, it has a lot to offer.

I looked at that forum and I found nothing of intrest... I like the humor that goes on in here, I would like to think that while at war at least we all may find a way to get along...

What type of music ?????
Ratio between music and home theater ????
How loud (how many db at what freq range) ??????
How or what type of setup (preamp, dts receiver) ???
How big will you tolerate ????
How much and how many drivers can you tolerate ???

Can you abandon your numbers and believe in sound quality that cannot be measured ???

If you already have sub, post qts, vas, and fs (xmax perhaps) and we can probably help you with what kind of enclosure and its strength and weaknesses .....

Or go buy vance dickensons loudspeaker cookbook from barnes and noble, crunch the numbers and tell us what you have learned !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I resemble that remark!

All I want is a pair of speakers the size of a box of Pop-Tarts that sound like Klipschorns.

Those little Bose cube-things look cute!

Can I mount the sub driver in the door for the microwave oven to save space?

If herbie hancock says the bose is good then it must be right !!!!!!!!!!!

$1300 for a cd boom box, I love it. I'm in the wrong business.

I got no problem with the Bose boom box, it sounds OK (but it should cost $199).

For bass players that had too much stage volume I used to threaten them with an anal implant. You wouldn't believe some of the rigs these guys wanted to use on stage.
