Subject: box dimensions for a GMC extended cab

I have a Polk Audio EX104 (10") car subwoofer that I would like to build a box to fit under the rear seat in my extended cab GMC truck. Can you adivse where I can find some box dimensions to build a box for under the rear seat ?. The subwoofer specs to a .65cubic ft sealed enclosure. I did some rough measurements under my rear saet and believe I have just enough space for a .65Cubic ft box.

Thanks,
Rob G.

What year is the truck? The 1989-1998/9 trucks are different from new style 99-02 trucks.

If you happen to be near Dallas, Texas, I have a box you can have. 3/4 MDF, fits the 1989-1998 trucks. It actually is built for both sides, so you would have to cut it in half and put on an end cap. It would be .65-.7 ft.

My truck is a 99 Sierra Classic (98 body style).
As for my location, unfortunately I am in San Jose, Ca.
I am looking at placing the box on the left side.

I am in MI right now and my box is with a friend in Texas, so I cannot provide dimensions for you. I will say it is a fun box to build if you use ALL of the airspace!!

Have you checked at local shops? I have seen premade boxes for $60.

Brian,

Thanks allot for your quick reply. based on the box calculations I have done, I agree that I will need to use ALL the available air space. I will build the box based on my calculations but would prefer to see another box design to ensure the box I am planning on building will be correct.
